3. I agree, it was very good |
|
It also was balanced, in that Melman of the RNC was given time to make himself look stupid, which never takes long.
Wolf pointed out that the top Dem contenders for 2008 were being careful while Gore doesn't have to.
I would say that none of the potential contenders should be "careful" because the good of the country is at stake, not just their personal careers.
They should all follow Al Gore's lead and speak the truth, not "be careful."
You listening, Hillary, John, John, Mark, etc.?

4. Excellent, baby_bear! Dems, follow Gore's lead and speak truth to power! |
|
Gore also sounded the trumpet that we must clean up Washington to save our democracy.
Democrats must take the opportunity to seize the Abramoff scandal and Bush's NSA wiretapping scandal and run with them, or the opportunity will be lost--in all the commotion that is starting up about the threat Iran now poses to the world!

9. Gore is a giant among the other democratic dweeb prez hopefuls... |
|
Gore is demonstrating old fashion leadership skills. The other Dems wanting to throw their hats in the rings wear beanies compared to Gores.
I pray he runs again and wins again.

10. being careful is how we got into this mess!! |
|
for a long time now Democrats have seemed to be watching what they say and how they say it. Like they don't want to offend anyone in an effort to attract more voters to their side.
While this may be a good thing, there comes a time when any reasonable person must take a stand. Personally, I think Democrats would be better off if they would take a stand and stick to it, whether it's popular or not.
At least if they would take a stand, as Gore did today, people would remember it and maybe they'd stop trying to sell that tired old line about Democrats not having any ideas. I'm really sick of hearing that one!!

5. But of course.. Donna is one of the few "safe" democrats they invite |
|
You won't see Jeff Cohen, Robert Greenwald, Phil Donahue, Bill Moyers, Chomsky, Michael Moore...or a bunch of others who are easlit forgotten since they get so little airtime..
It's a sad time when the "liberal" response always comes from Donna or lately, William Cohen (R) or even David Gergen (R).

11. I'm a little shocked, but not altogether surprised... |
|
I've read her book and she's actually as liberal as I am. Get her in front of a camera, though, and she folds like a napkin (which is why she's often booked by MSM as a "Democratic viewpoint").
I'm guessing that since she owns a consulting firm now that she plays a centrist to get business. I guess Washington is all about enriching yourself and nothing more.

12. She was devoted to Gore |

She worked for him.
I don't always agree with her, but she is a number one Gore fan.
