My handwritten letter to Al Gore

Dear Vice President Gore:

Just when I thought no one understood or grasped the seriousness of our nation's plight, I watched your amazing speech on C-Span. This day you have so eloquently and honestly laid out our gravest crisis: that of our Constitution's integrity. Thank you for calling out our leaders in Washington. You are unquestionably correct that an unchecked Executive Branch is NOT what our founders intended. Your five point plan compells our leadership in the Democratic Party to--in the words of Spike Lee--"Do The Right Thing". How appropriate that you outline these important issues on the day we celebrate the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

I hope to hear and see more of you in the coming months. We need your voice now more than ever. Thank you for your contributions to our democracy. We need truth spoken from the lips of real and earnest patriots.
