18. What's the "Warner Wagon" ?
Seriously, there were some Warner proponents on this board, but not that many. ?

26. Warnermania was purely operative driven. No actual passion.
It'll be pushed again, don't worry.

29. I am not plugging Warner per se just commenting
on how fickle DUers can be. We need to get some perspective on the Gore speech

15. Gore has always been on my short list, long before today's great speech.
The thought did occur to me during the few minutes I managed to catch live: "He's saying a lot of great things, a lot that needs to be said. But if by some miracle any of *'s brainless moran-base hears any of it, it will all be way over their heads."

But then, after reading this poll question, I had a new thought. Whether or not Gore runs, let's push for this:

"If anything Al Gore says is over your head, you're not bright enough to vote!"

Now that's some election reform I can REALLY get excited about!

17. absolutely NO CONTEST....He's earned it, he won it, he deserves it
He could have retired and made millions in the private sector. He knows how he's going to be attacked by the THUGS in Washington, the media etc.

He's fighting for US!!! It's about time we fought for him!

20. Feingold or Edwards or Kucinich -
I love Al and I believe he is performing the ultimate service to country right now by speaking out - I don't think he can or needs to top what he is doing now.

Except in very, very rare cases, celebrities don't accomplish the work that matters, they just get the attention.

Al supported Dean in 2004 - if he can lead us out of our current dire straights and support a Dean-like candidate in 2008 - that is so, so much more than many Presidents have ever done for this country.

25. I made up my mind today.
My problem with the Democratic Party is that we don't seem to fight hard enough. And sometimes, in my opinion, we've been overly deferential to the repugs. (Yes, I really do believe that.)

We need a fighter. Mr. Gore isn't afraid, and he obviously still has the "fire in the belly." He's the right man to carry this fight forward.

GORE '08

27. I was already in the Gore column
with the caveat that he couldn't revert back to the old cautious DLC Gore. This speech helps put that qualm to rest.
