Can you hear that "scraaaape" noise? |
|
That's the collective sound of Dubya bumper stickers being removed from cars across the country. The owners of said vehicles are finally getting the point that their boy is not only as dumb as a sack of horse dung but he's a lying crook as well. It must be very trying for them to face the fact that Shit-for-Brains is worse than Nixon ever aspired to be. I mean, after all, Tricky Dick may have been a crook and a liar but at least he tried to give the impression of being an astute and rational human being.

There aren't that many "W" stickers left. I think the only idiots that still have them are that 19% of "true believers". :)

8. There will always be that hardcore base. |

Anyone with an (R) at the end of their name could outlaw baseball, apple pie and hot dogs and they would still get a 20% approval.

3. Mr. Dobson was saying they got very little for their support |
|
and I wonder how extensive their support went in the last election to defeat the immoral liberals. Maybe they are waking up and seeing Team Bush for what they are.

6. people will say Gore's speech |
|
but I doubt many of the republicans and fundies watched it. My private theory is that after Alito is confirmed the conservatives will have their objective, a skewed to the right supreme court; and they will no longer have an incentive to keep Bush who they were using to get to Roe vs Wade. I think that much of what has been magically shelved will come to the forefront including Rove's indictment.

7. I work in an uber-Republican almost all white county in NE GA. |
|
Almost all of the large trucks and SUVs that were previously sporting Bush-Cheney 2004, Bush-Cheney Farm and Ranch Team and W still the president stickers have now been stripped clean of the stickers. Most of the yellow ribbon and US flag magnets are gone too. Only a few hard-headed hold outs still publically support Bush. Many of these folks seem to be white male contractor and developer types. This is in one of the most Republican counties (read upper middle class, almost all white and Protestant)vin Georgia.
