How has media reported every significant Dem speech of the last 5 yrs.?
Edited on Mon Jan-16-06 05:25 PM by blm
The Democrats never offer any policy positions or solutions.

They are in disarray.

What speech? My producer didn't tell me nothing about a Dem speech.

Sez so right here on this fax I got from Karl Rove.

2. Dems give speeches??
Judging from MSM they don't. Gore should've been covered.

3. Wow ... we had some significant speeches in the last five years?
Not according to the media. We have just cried in our beer out loud.

We have had them. They aren't allowed to report on them.

6. They didn't even cover Kerry's campaign
speeches. I saw one on CNN one day that had an inset in the corner with Bush talking. Couldn't hear Kerry.

7. Remind DU'ers next time they claim "Kerry never criticized Bush in 04" or
"never laid out any alternatives" or "explained what he was for" or "didn't respond to the swiftboat vets" or etc etc etc.

There have been some great speeches from Dems the past 5 years. On cable TV, nothing but out of context soundbites if we're lucking. And frothing Rove-bots given free reign to smear and distort.

9. Well, in all honesty, Kerry waited too long to come out against
the Swiftboats.

But, on the whole, I agree with you. The media didn't cover him well and minimized his speeches, while playing up DimSon's.

16. No - try the research forum for the facts about Kerry's swiftlies defense.
The MEDIA didn't feature his defense.

11. They cover only enough to provide context for their spin
But the most annoying tactic is the way they have this imperial "we" as if they and the audience were united as one and they're covering an intrusion by the Democrats. The Democrats are always assailing the castle from outside.

13. Nailed it. Just enough to provide the content for their spin.
We're gonna see that exact tactic all day today - the day after chopaDemup.

12. Wolfie is going to discuss the speech
and chat about whether this is a case of sour grapes. These fuggers are unbelievably shameless. One of the most important speeches in decades is not going to be dissected and analyzed but will be discussed in terms of sour grapes. I give fucking up!!
