Don't worry about the media dispersing Gore's message...
That's your job.

This is our test to see how effective we can be. Can we carry the momentum of Gore's speech and blast through the imaginary wall the media has erected around the truth? We know that even if they did cover it, this speech can not be understood with 30 second sound bites and paid deceivers. You know the deal, by tomorrow, this speech will never have happened if you don't carry it and pass it along. How many truths have we let go past without grabbing a hold and waving it in the air like a white flag? How many times have we prayed for help and guidance? Well, my friends, help and guidance are here, now is the time for all good souls to come to the aid of their country. America needs you.

Get Gore's message out, you know how. Print up copies, make videos, do whatever you can do to help lead the sheep from the slaughter. You're the only one's who can.

Good night and Good Luck.

2. It's not his first speech
I went to see him in NYC and got to shake his hand. It won't be his last ...

5. but it was his BEST speech! It was a pivotal speech. It was a
call-to-action speech. It was the kind of speech real presidents make. It was about the best speech I have heard in a long time, because it spoke to my heart, my intellect, my sense of values, and especially to what is wrong with our government and what we need to encourage our Congress to do about it.

It was the most important speech of the young century, IMHO! :bounce:

So NOW WHAT?! C'mon, people! Make those phone calls! Write those letters! Volunteer for your local Democratic office! It's time for We the People to get off our collective asses and hold these assholes accountable! Are you with me?!

8. totally agree with you about the speech,
I'll tell you that i havent seen or heard that genuine combination of duty, outrage, courage, humanity, patiotism, passion and intelligence in a very..long time...if ever ..

obviously, i liked the speech..i loved the speech...the speech made my day.....and i think in the long run, today has marked a turning point...another in a very few months of turning points...but today was a big one...wow...i continue to be impressed...

and i love the timing...martin luther king day and a few days before the state of the union...,..cpan needs to be playing this speech all day long every day for the next week....

7. Yes, it is our responsibility to get this out to the masses.
Tell your friends, your coworkers, your family, everyone that you come in contact with. It is up to us. We don't have a free press and haven't had one in a long time. Print out the speech, leave it at the grocery store, laundry mat, doctors office, everywhere. Call your congress critters and tell them what your reaction was to Gore's speech and what you expect of them to defend our constitution. It is up to us to keep up the momentum of Al Gore's words.

10. I posted a link to the speech transcripts on another of my favorite
message boards, and it was immediately attacked by the more vocal RWers on the boards:

yuck.

But several thanked me for bringing the speech to their attention.

9. Bravo!
Like we`re supposed to breathlessly await the magic tranformation of corporate media. Not going to happen. Time to get to work on our own.

12. If everyone on DU made 10 copies each...
that would be 830,000 cd/DVD's to flood America. Though... The price of a 50 pack of CD is about $20. That would be 41 million cd's raining down on America in a tidal wave of 1's and 0's. It's a beautiful thought.
