4. The opening flatters Gore (first newscast to do so today) |
|
The follow up plays up the Gore & Barr agreement. Still flattering Gore. I saw the speech earlier.

6. Photo of Gore with "On The Attack" on the opening |
|
Lots of good clips of the speech.
Oberman musing about how third parties were created in the past...

The headline on the opening was "On the Offensive". He also had someone on from Newsweek to discuss the speech, as well.

7. Leading off with it... |
|
About Bob Barr not being able to introduce him because of "technical difficulties."
"Gore, the man who won the popular vote in 2000, may not be becoming a better speaker, but is more forceful."
A nice clip and now a discussion.

13. What he actually said is |
|
that while no one would call Gore a great speaker, he is becoming more forceful.
And he DID mention the fact that he won the popular vote in 2000 and by how many votes.

Talking about Bob Barr and Al Gore together - not Bush V Gore all over again, maybe foretelling a third party, Al has become a more forceful speaker, stating high points. Playing tape of Al asking for special council, then off to newsweek pundit.

9. It bothers me that Keith keeps quoting that bs poll |
|
that says a majority of Americans support Chimpy's wiretapping.

12. When he brings up that poll, it is not in the context of asking |
|
whether or not wiretapping SHOULD matter if a poll shows the majority of people don't seem to mind. He brings it up sort of as a way of playing devil's advocate. In other words, is this an issue that will get the public behind a group of politicians, or not?
