Massive heart attack, my ass. He's probably been planning this scam for years, and once the conviction came down, it was a "go." He "dies" in the Colorado mountains and is quickly cremated so no body for anyone to exhume at a later date. Meantime, he's laughing his ass off sipping an umbrella drink in some exotic location. The wife will "mourn" for awhile, sell off a bunch of assets, and quietly slip into the same anonymity. It sounds like the plot of a Grisham novel.
