So if 60 is early middle age...but 75 is old...
Does that mean our mainstream liberal media (CBS in this case) thinks we should have an extended youth, followed by a very brief middle age, followed by an almost nonexistant old age?

:eyes:

This really is getting ridiculous.

15. I'm almost 60
I consider myself moving out of middle age. I'm a lot smarter than I ever was, but middle aged? No.

2. It must have something to with what party you are in
I recall the Republicans keep saying all these odd things their party people were doing like being fathers of children out of their married and being drunk was because of youth and they were all in their 40's. Where as when Dems do it they are sinful. I wonder how come the President is so up tight about being 60. It is better than not reaching 60 and there are a lot of men not doing that under his watch. It is hard to think what a country can miss out on from the young men killed in wars. Just think of WW1 with so many young men in Europe that were killed and all classes fought in their armies.

5. True.
The simple version is that if you aren't getting older, its because you're dead.

:eyes:

Not a good thing.

6. George was never raised to be a decent person.
I'm not even sure he was raised to be a human being. From what I've seen, no one ever told him "no" and enforced it.

7. 60 is not early middle age. It is not middle age at all, unless the
life expectancy has suddenly been raised to 120. I will celebrate my 60th birthday this fall and although I am in very good health I realize that I have far fewer years ahead of me than I have behind me. A person's attitude towards age can be a very important factor in how they look at life in general, but you have to be realistic and accept the fact that your body is aging and it won't last forever.

10. I still say 50 is the new 35
if you don't believe it, find some
pics of 35 year olds from the 40s.

12. Well yes
In the 40s the life expectancy for white males was o/a 68, so 35 was literally over the hill. Now 35 is still right side of it. Plus there were all the situational factors - food, medical care, work and economic environments, etc. A 35 year old male in the 40's had grown up and lived thru a rough time and it would show.

13. The definition of middle age
usually depends on the age of the person doing the defining. As one gets older middle age gets longer. ;-)

At 52 I refuse to be a senior citizen....so middle aged it is.

so.... if he was born-again at 40, that makes him 20 years old now! Is it Consititutional for him to hold office at 20?
