Conservative (of course) radio host Mike Church will go ahead and sing "Hadji Girl" himself, since Cpl. Belile, the Marine who wrote it, has chosen not to. Looks like the song will be available for download, and Belile will get royalties from it's sale.

you can't say that about the "trophy" video made by two or three soldiers - by the way, US troops have made plenty of those, too, and put them on the web (which British soldiers don't because, unlike US soldiers, Brits don't demand immunity from prosecution for breaking international law).

The US said that they would invade Iraq anyway, whether or not Britain joined the coalition.

I assume that you mean CCTV cameras - well, they are proven to help reduce violent crime (eg around bank cashpoint machines, on the trains and buses) but, hey, you wouldn't care about that because America is a crime-ridden, money-obsessed society and proud of it.

As an American who lived in England for quite a while, is married to a Brit, and visits England very regularly, I think I can speak with some authority when I say each country has it's pros and cons. Each country has it's good and bad politicians. And I loved CCTV -- it meant criminals most likely got caught.

I'm from there (don't live there right now though), and I'm thinking he's from south Louisiana for some reason. Lots of south LA is blue, but there are a couple of red areas (maybe North Shore?) that could show him some love. I think Sirius must be his only syndication.
