Bush Determined to Rally Against N. Korea

Jul 7, 11:41 AM (ET)
By JENNIFER LOVEN

CHICAGO (AP) - President Bush said Friday he is determined to rally world support in confronting North Korea over its missile tests to speak "loud and clear."

At the same time, Bush told reporters, "You know, the problem with diplomacy is it takes a while to get something done" while "acting alone, you can move quickly."

Seems like a veiled threat for go-it-alone "preemption" if you ask me.

4. his press confrence was so full of lies
that it's somewhat hard to tell what was a joke and what wasn't. With his rambling bullshit it isn't surpising that many faux paus are present.

5. unilateral vs 6 party talks

Wait a minute...

Isn't the criticism against the Clinton's administration agreements with North Korea (stop NK missle/nuclear program in exchange for safe nuclear power plants) a example of 'acting alone, so you can move quickly'? The Bush's Administration threw out these plans and replaced them with 6 party talks (China, Japan, NK, SK, Russia and US). Wouldn't that 'take(s) a while to get something done'?
Now look where we are...

Does this guy thinks about what he says?

9. If he wanted to 'act alone' why did he decline Saddam's offer of a
duel? http://archives.cnn.com/2002/WORLD/meast/10/03/iraq.bush.duel/

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The White House scorned an Iraqi leader's suggestion that President Bush and Saddam Hussein could resolve their differences in a duel, calling it an "irresponsible statement" that did not justify a "serious response."

13. He also said
He is very concerned about the welfare of the North Korean people. If Bush is concerned for your welfare, it's time to climb into a bomb shelter.

14. Would have loved it if someone had asked him
about Osama BL today. All we got tho was more about the 'hard work' he's doing. Man, he needs new speech writers - or better yet, just stop talking to us. Period.

Do you know of anyone that can listen to him anymore and not talk back to the radio or TV AND watch/listen to the entire press conference or smallest sound bite?

I haven't been able to listen to him directly for about 2 years now.

15. I agree... it would be nice if just once you'd hear a reporter
toss a high hard one to Bush....

"With all the talk of North Korea and Iran who were members of your Axis of Evil four years ago, has the Administration forgotten Osama Bin Laden? If not, can you outline a real strategy to catch the man who actually attacked us?"
