CT-Sen: Bigotry in Lieberman's camp Hotlist
by kos

The numbers are bad enough for Lieberman:

But an internal Democratic poll of Connecticut Jews sees Lamont leading by 50 percent to 41 percent, JTA has learned. The sample was small, but the results were a dramatic departure from the 90-plus approval rating Lieberman scored among Jews after Al Gore named him as his running mate in 2000.

But the numbers are nowhere near as bad as this response from a top Lieberman advisor:

"I find the behavior of a large segment of the Jewish community to be reprehensible and outrageous," said John Droney, a former chairman of the state party who is advising Lieberman to run as an independent. "When he's in trouble like this, they all ought to rally to him. It's too bad that you have to listen to an Irish-American to realize that you've got to support your own home cooking."

1. What? Now we not only are supposed to vote along party
lines by religious affiliation as well? I'd expect this from a republican, but a dem?

2. And Why Should They Rally...?
They don't like what the guy is doing so why would they want to rally around him? Oh right, not entitled to their opinions, just supposed to fall in line. That arrogance is what ultimately bring all of them down, thank God.

3. The sense of entitlement and arrogance coming from Lieberman's campaign...
are astonishing. Perhaps the Jewish population of Connecticut would rather vote for someone with principles than somebody else just because they are Jewish?

4. The image of chickens with their heads cut off is coming to mind.
