MLK
"Now, I say to you today my friends, even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal." I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood. I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice. I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today..." - Martin Luther King, Jr. "I Have A Dream"

Martin Luther King, Jr, 1929 - 1968
"The quality, not the longevity, of one's life is what is important." - Martin Luther King, Jr.

2. We Americans Must Show This Courage Now or Lose it All
All Americans who believe in the principals on which our Nation was founded have an obligation to stand up for these principals now before we lose them all to the self self serving oligarchs and assorted right wing lunatics who are rapidly destroying all that America once stood for. I get very discouraged by so much of what is going on these days. I keep myself going by remembering such sayings as YOU HAVE NOT LOST UNTIL YOU QUIT FIGHTING. Martin Luther King faced every bit as much institutionalized hostility and so much more, and fought on with courage and determination. Honor his memory by doing the same as much as you are able to.We have to, just as he did. It is our Country and we can and will take it back. It is our task now and no one else can do it for us. NEVER GIVE UP,Oscar
