After being linked to the Jack Abramoff corruption scandal for months, Rep. Bob Ney of Ohio is said to be working aggressively to persuade federal prosecutors that he did not participate in an influence-peddling scheme, the New York Times will report in Tuesday page ones.
Ney was singled out as Congressman A in the plea agreement between federal prosecutors and fallen lobbyist Jack Abramoff. He is said to have taken bribes in exchange for aid to Abramoff's clients.
