DeLay MIGHT NOT RETIRE
SUGAR LAND, Texas - Former U.S. Rep. Tom DeLay suggested Friday that he may not be ready for retirement just yet, a day after a federal judge ruled that his name must remain on the November ballot even though he resigned from Congress.

DeLay, who came home to Sugar Land for a previously scheduled event, also criticized U.S. District Judge Sam Sparks' ruling that the former House majority leader's name had to remain on the ballot.

"For this guy to say he can't tell where I'm going to be on Election Day, and that I am forced to be on the ballot, well, they may get exactly what they want," DeLay told supporters to raucous applause. Sparks is a Democrat appointed by Republican former President
George Bush.

Later, reporters asked Delay if he now planned to run. He didn't say no.

"We have to wait and see what the 5th Circuit does on appeal," he said.

5. You actually think he'd lose?
I wouldn't count on that. His district is overwhelmingly diehard Repug.

Delay can spin this "activist judge forcing me to run" crap and the sheeple will buy it. The Repugs are already putting out talking points about how people here should vote for Delay if he must be on the ballot, then after he beats Lampson he will resign again. Then there will be a special election to replace him and that Repug candidate would beat any Democrat.

12. I am sure certain he would be elected,
After all, he is a good, spiritual man who has been the victim of a witch hunt by partisan liberals. :eyes:

7. Where's Rick Deckard when you need him?
Specialist police units – blade runners – hunt down and "retire" (i.e. kill) escaped replicants on Earth.

16. The "dipshits" would do no such thing. Neocons cheat
or do you still believe elections and people like Tom Delay are fair?

an alternative plan.
