Poll question: Would you boycott Chinese goods to pressure them on North Korea? (Poll) |
|
Edited on Fri Jul-07-06 11:10 PM by Clarkie1
I heard it suggested on a radio talk show today that Americans boycott Chinese goods as a way of pressuring China to put pressure on North Korea. North Korea is dependent on Chinese support for fuel, food, etc. I'm also thinking writing letters to the Chinese embassy would be another way of applying pressure.

there are many apparel manufacturers in the US.....I buy all my clothing from the union shops. Better quality and competitive prices, too.

3. I'd have to find some NON-Chinese goods, first. |
|
Pretty much everything is made there, now.

5. According to the host, all Chinese goods at Walmart were replaceable |
|
by goods from either the U.S. or another country. He claimed to have spent an hour doing this experiment at a local Walmart.

Wal-Mart's about the only place where I've ever seen stuff marked "Made in America". Try Walgreen's, or anyplace else, and everything is made in China...even the appliances Walgreen's sells are made there!
You'd be hard-pressed to boycott Chinese goods because they're everywhere....

Maybe now we can burn the American flags |
|
in protest against the country that made them.
