I don't post this photo to incite, but it strikes me as in line with
the "Godfather II" when Pacino was describing how the the rebels in Cuba would die freely for a cause while the soldiers were paid. No judgments made here as I don't know the background of the photo...still, provoking to say the least.







Blood drips from the wounded hand of a member of Shi'ite's Mehdi army, as he helps carry the coffin of a comrade, who was killed during clashes against the U.S. forces in Baghdad's Sadr city July 7, 2006. Up to nine people were killed in clashes between U.S. troops and the Mehdi Army militia of Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr in eastern Baghdad early on Friday, police and witnesses said. The Arabic inscription on the coffin means, "Allah, Only God, Mohammad is the messenger of the God".

1. I think the hamfisted translation is actually...
"There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is His Prophet." This is one of the Pillars of Islam that form the core of devotion for that religion. It is a simple and heartfelt prayer.
