I'm Damn Sick and Tired
of those clowns on the right (my apologies to real clowns), saying that * is our Commander-in-Chief.

The Constitution of the United States says that the President is Commander-in-Chief of our armed forces, and although I don't think King George has enough skills to be CIC of the Boy Scouts,I will accept that that is his position.

But when I keep hearing that * is MY Commander-in-Chief, it is enough to make me:puke:

Herr Bush was elected (?) to be President of the United States, a job whose major responsibility is to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, from all enemies, foreign and domestic. It is also his role to represent ALL of Americas citizenry.
The fact that he considers the Constitution to be a "goddamn piece of paper",and he gives his loyalty to the Corporate Interests and the Right Wing NEOCONS just goes to show that he is not even an honest President.
But for him to be considered Americas Commander-in-Chief (read DICTATOR) should piss off all real Americans. And the only thing worse than him considering himself in that role, is for the Backwash to hold him in that sort of esteem.
I hate to use a very hackneyed Right Wing slogan, but Earl Pitts signature line sure does seem appropriate:

WAKE UP, AMERICA
before it is too late.

 :patriot:

1. Reminds me...
Maybe 1972..

I was long-range recon and extraction (northernmost S Vietnam and Laos), went home on convalescent leave.

Went back to Country, brought all the guys up to speed on WaterGate.

Asshole desk jockey Senior Chief said, "That is my Commander in Chief you are talking about. I would follow him thru the Gates of Hell if he needed me."

I replied, "I hope you have the opportunity, and as soon as possible".

Court martial

5. You must've forgotten the "sirs" bracketing the statement...
"Sir, I hope you have the opportunity, and as soon as possible, sir."

That sounds like something my old man would've said, anyway.

8. Yeah, that was probably what did it.
That bastard later turned up missing on the Qua Viet River.

None of us knew a thing about it. Nothing at all.

I promise.

2. W has never been considered as a legitimate president
He lost his credentials for being CIC when he couldn't even substantiate his Guard Service. Does CIC stands for Clucker in Command? Cheney had "other priorities". The elitist sob.

He'll send our troops off to die, just so he doesn't have to send his own. The elitist GOP don't want their own to take on such hardships while they are allowing the po folks an opportunity for a chance at educational opportunities while fighting W's imperial wars for the rich.

4. He is NOT "OUR" Commander in Chief, though--unless WE are
all on active duty.

The Monkey is the President of the United States AND the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces.

Not CinC of US. The poor bastards in uniform get double trouble from him, not those of us stationed out in CIVLANT (or CIVPAC, for that matter!).

6. * ugly face was plastered all over TV last night
First the press conference in Chicago then replays of Larry (boot licker) King. during the press conference he stuttered and hesitated like a ten year old when called upon to answer a question by the teacher.
