4. That poll is staying curiously "balanced" |
|
I've been watching it since it had around 160,000 votes, and it has NEVER budged from 49%/48%/3%. Not once.

When I first voted, it was 78% yes.
Now it's stuck at 49 no and 48 yes and never changes.

8. I already voted please next time |
|
you need to qualify the poll for dial-up people, just put AOL, CNN, abc etc. in your title, that way since you can't vote multiple times you save everyone time.:) :) :) :)

16. Actually I think you can vote multiple times |
|
which would explain why it's staying so balanced. It doesn't tell you you've already voted like most do.......I think there's a lot of busy little freepers tonight.

14. This poll is what a civil war looks like. |
|
At the current numbers, I think it is unlikely to have been significantly freeped or DUed for that matter.
What it says is that over a core principle of the United States governance, almost half the people are willing to abandon self governance in favor of autocracy.
Such a house divided cannot long stand. I believe I read that somewhere. :sarcasm: The question is, can we persuade our government to return to the system of open governance, checks, balances, and respect for the rule of law that has maintained us through our greatest times of crisis?
If not, insurrection or enslavement shall surely follow. And thus those who believed our system corrupt, and unable to survive attack will be proved right. In the future, those who follow George Bush into the oval office shall not be presidents of a great and free republic, but the autocrats of a system more evil and abased than anything our fathers and mothers strove to destroy in the last century.
More evil because it has the power to do either great good or evil and chooses to profit by evil, and more abased because it does so in the name of a loving and life affirming God.
And it is now placed in our hands as citizens of the greatest of all Democracies in history to reveal and correct the current errant path of our government. It is up to us not merely to rebuke, but to replace those corrupt and debased elements of government, and to restore Democracy by an informed and active citizenry.
We must seize the truth, and forge it into a key with which we may remove our hoods, wires, and chains, and imprison the malefactors.

What's the point of having a poll if people can vote more than once? The results are meaningless.
