5. We're being played, big time.
I'm not one for anecdotes on this forum, however, I have one on this topic. I'm in line too pay for gas inside the Exxon mini mart this morning, well Friday morning. The guy in front me me is white, late 30's, Red Man cap, contractor type. He says, "Damn, paying for a tank of gas with a $100 bill." Then he gets his small change back, and starts muttering, "It' was never like this until George F*#king Bush, George F*#king Bush..." additional expletives. I thought, damn, this guy is the natural constituency and now he's furious since driving was part of his work obviously.

It's time for these folks to retire. They're just afraid that they'll end up like Berlusconi in Italy. He was finally indicted yesterday on fraud, which had been pending his entire presidency. Lot easier to get indicted when your not president. They fear that.

6. They Fear Being Sent to the International Criminal Court in the Hague
A pardon can spring them from any prison in this country,
but the International Criminal Court doesn't do pardons.
** is terrified of the ICC. We can tell this by the way
he stumbled onto the subject in the '04 debate with Kerry.
It wasn't the actual question, but it was close enough to
set ** off on a tirade against the ICC.

The Peace Palace. The Hague. Netherlands…

…Home of the International Criminal Court,

The U.N.Prison

Home of convicted war criminals

how much of that is taxes or because of enviornmental additives? Out here we're paying like 2.87-2.90 depending where you go.

:sarcasm:
that SUV was probably necessary to haul lots of bags of groceries from the supermarket home; and to make sure that if the driver every ended up in a fugue state and found himself in the real back woods, he'd be able to drive out safely. Oh, yeah, they are also necessary to make sure that at least once every couple of months you can't get in your drivers side door because the SUV parked next to you leaves no room. Have a heart. These are just a few of the many really good reasons to have an SUV. it's a way of life.

22. How do you control a mass of people? - Take away some of their freedoms
No effort to conserve energy thru Bushco, flip back to 55MPH (totally sucked but it worked) swithch from gas guzzlers? nah we'll just wait for prices to drop back down?? This President states it's our problem becaause we've become "addicted to oil" which hurts even more to hear words from an incompetant leader, (I use the term very loosely).

25. Our jobs too. Money = freedom.
And I'd giggle if he tried putting back the 55MPH speed limit.

I'd be in agreeance, but we know it's not going to happen.

I know a Libertarian who has a SUV and whines about the prices, but there's no point in feeding him the parrot-fed lines he's taught himself.
