How Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT) made a few calls and got record producer Dallas Austin out of jail in Dubai.

So what could possibly be the connection...except the fact that Orrin writes music too?

On edit:

Oh snap, wait!

Orrin is trying to get Dallas to hook him up with some beats.

I knew someone who was studying in Rome and lost her passport, he dad was on the Democratic state committee and he called Bennett Johnston for some help, it turned out that Trent Lott was who actually made the call to Rome. Maybe depends on who knows who where. Who knows.

2. Money and the right lawyers...
are the connection.

Now, if I was busted somewhere for a gram of coke and rotting in some foreign dungeon, I could maybe call one of my Senators for help-- if I could get to a phone. The Senator's office might even be very nice to me, becaue Senators often help their constituents out of jams.

But, I don't have Quincy Jones or Madonna on speed dial. Or their lawyers, at least one of whom has Hatch on speed dial.

3. I'm certain you would get a nice form letter from a staffer suggesting
that since you are a nobody, good luck and remember to vote for your congressional representative.
