Jon Stewart and the Daily show not having Coulter on. I think Stewart should have her on if she will do it and tear her a new asshole. These people need to have some national come-upence and Stewart is just the person to do it. It is way past time to stand up and say enough. Every Liberal or even moderate radio or TV host should make a point of standing up to this new form of terrorism the GOP has adopted. Let's stop the hatred that has become so rampant in America today.

all sorts of big tv shows, from Good Morning America to Wolf Blitzer. There are always going to be fascist psychos out there clamoring for their agenda- but they don't have to be put on the air every week. appearances when the host or the interviewer doesn't call her on her remarks only reinforces the validity of her hate speech in the minds of those who listen to her. Nobody asks her to back up her preposterous statements with facts and nobody ever tells her she's wrong or disagrees with her. I believe it would be an important public service if someone could take her remarks apart and humiliate her, and others of her ilk, with their own words.

How do you get people to either stop paying attention to vile scum like Coulter? I don't think you can because they've always been there. Ann Coulter, Phyllis Schlafly, Father Coughlin... they're all the same. The difference is that at one time the sane voices drowned out the hate-mongers.

get so much media acceptance. Coulter is so extreme that she's paractically doing a fascist parody, but she invited to define the limits of debate over and over again. It's stupid.

The Ann Coulters of the world need to be marginalized and ignored. If anyone's going to be grilled, it should be the people who book her on their shows and give her legitimacy.

Yes, those who have given her (and others) wide exposure share the blame. But grilling them, while satisfying in itself, would not fix anything. The airtime was already given, and that is precisely why AC et al cannot be ignored. They are already shoved in our collective face -- front and center, spewing hate that is presented as casual opinion. They are out there for a reason, and that is: to continue to vilify liberals and the left as though we should be dismissed, jeered at and despised (that last is most important). So much of that attitude has been implanted through these shows. It can not be combated by ignoring it.

What we need to do is publicly discredit these hate mongers. The best way is to get them to discredit themselves -- make them so mad they sputter. Find a contradiction in their own stated positions, that is so blatant even they will have a hard time rationalizing it. Extra points if you can set it up so they don't see it coming.

If anyone saw Coulter when she was interviewed by a Brit talk show host recently (sorry I did not save the link) -- she was really bad. Wooden, responded with hostility to his matter of fact questions -- she did herself no favors. And he wasn't even that hard on her. Someone closer to home should be able to needle her -- wouldn't it be great to see the brittle facade crack and the rage show its ugly little teeth. I would pay to see her or Michelle Malkin lose it, when confronted with their own quotes, contradictions, hateful positions and demonstrable falsehoods -- oh, wait, I forgot -- and plagiarisms.
