Cindy and Code Pink Fasters Declare Independence From War VIDEO

On July 4th, in Washington, participants in the "Troops Home Fast" took their message to the National July 4th Parade. Cindy Sheehan and Michael Berg, who both lost sons in the war, called on the fasters and their supporters to declare independence from war. Following a brief program in Lafayette Park, the group marched to join the national parade.

2. I'm only sorry that more DUers aren't supporting Cindy

There seems to be a vocal minority on DU hellbent on trashing her every effort.

I found there was more than one issue over which we disagreed radically.

8. From the Lefter end of DU, I believe that there is a wide

array of positions here. Sometimes we manage to come together on an issue and at that point, any opponent had best put their helmet on.

So, I'm not sure who exactly is on my list but both parties are probably more comfortable as a result.

Cindy is going to catch flak from the timid and from the career types. From me she gets a big hug and a heap of admiration.

9. I don't think those are part of our ideology. I too have had to

put a lot of them on ignore. I found out that the ignores seem to all arrive on certain threads only where flame fights seem to erupt. It makes me wonder, but I guess until the mods sort them out as disruptors we will have them polluting our threads.

especially the iraq veteran's fingers in a peace sign while in handcuffs
