1. Their just bowing to their Conservative masters......
Discussing the travesty of Lay's behavior would be condemned as the mean liberal media kicking a man who can't fight back, etc.

More expunging of the truth so as not to upset the delicate sensibilities of Conservatives who want to be the most corrupt people on earth without anyone making them feel bad about it.

9. Um...they already had the trial.
And I know many here don't quite understand, but describing all the bad things a man has been accused/convicted of at the same time you announce his death is considered unseemly. See the trial transcripts for details--it HAS been in the public eye more than once.

10. If they'd just give Lay half of the coverage Zarqawi got after his death,
then I'd be satisfied.

"unseemly"?. That's never stopped the coporate media from cranking out tons of tasteless bullshit.

17. The only reason Lay was well known enough to....
have his death announced by the media is because he will go down in history as one of the biggest corporate crooks of all time. I'd say that passing mention of that would have been appropriate.

3. Yeah, weird, that they don't report that he's still dead.
Now, if he came back to life, THAT would be a story.

4. Seriously
The guy died. The media has already 'covered' the story of his malfeasance. That's just flogging a dead horse.

Although the Gibbering, Oily Politicos never could seem to let go of Chappaquiddick (for example).

What baffled me was the coverage of Jon-Bennett Ramsey's mother's death. Who friggin' cares?!?

Kenny Boy Laid to rest by a high speed motor boat, that struck and whacked him, as he was out on the Broadmoore lake walking his pet rubber ducklings...Family Bible in hand as always!

Edit...Kenny had way more ducketts, than dicklings, stashed away for a rainy day.

13. Do you think maybe they suspect he
isn't dead and they're being conned? The NY Post seems to think so. Once a scam artist, always a scam artist. I don't expect to ever see Lay again, but that doesn't mean he's been reduced to ashes.
