3 U.S. soldiers killed in W. Iraq
BAGHDAD, July 8 (Xinhua) -- Three U.S. soldiers were killed in Iraq's volatile western province of Anbar on Saturday, the U.S. military said.

Three U.S. soldiers, assigned to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, were killed in "enemy action", the military said in a brief statement.

The names of the soldiers are being withheld pending notification of next of kin, the statement added.

The latest deaths have brought to more than 2,530 the number of U.S. military personnel killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003. Enditem
