But the meaningfulness of combat, Hedges suggests, depends upon the myth of war.

In reality, no matter what grand cause it is supposed to support, war is simply the basest form of aggression: "organized murder."

And I guess it would also be the most sadistic form of addiction and profit accumulation by those who send out innocent, intentionally misled individuals who do the abusers bidding.

4. When I 1st read your post title, I read it as "War is a Farce....

...which gives us all meaning". That is probably also the case, but a deadly farce.
