Conyers: Phone Jamming Leads to White House? When will the Hearings Begin

NH Phone Jamming Leads to White House?
When will the Oversight Hearings Begin

Many of us came into election day 2002 confident Democrats would certainly hold if not expand their majority in the Senate. One of the key Senate races was New Hampshire, where a highly popular Democratic Governor -- Jeannie Shaheen -- was running for an open Senate seat in an increasingly Democratic state. One of the shocking losses that evening was Shaheen's loss to then Rep. Sununu.

Later we learned that a prime contributor to Shaheen's upset loss was that their get out the vote operations - the lifeblood of any election day operation -- were effectively stymied by a sophisticated phone jamming operations. Years later legal prosecutions followed, the RNC paid for millions of dollars in legal fees -- apparently out of the goodness of their hearts. We also learned of numerous calls from NH Republican operatives responsible for the illegal jamming to, surprise, surprise, the White House on election day. Finally yesterday, we learned one of the defendants has told us that yes indeed, the instructions to do the jamming came on high from the White House. See the NH Union Leader Article. (http://www.unionleader.com/article.aspx?headline=Phone-jamming+trial+may+draw+link+to+GOP&articleId=1f4ea6ad-3e62-4164-84d0-a34963ff7dd4)

So we have a case of outright election fraud, that goes to the heart of our electoral integrity and effected the control of the Senate, and now we learned the fraud may go directly to the White House or the RNC. If this fact pattern was evident during the Clinton Administration, we would be having multiple congressional hearings and investigations going on. Under the GOP Majority? We have a resounding zero, no oversight, no congressional investigation. I'm glad DOJ is doing their job, albeit slowly, but Democracy demands more accountability than this.

3. You are right...there is more than enough evidence....
to make arrests....it will take a Fitzgerald type to make it happen...I can bet it all goes back to KKKarl Rove...he has never won anything by the rules...his mantra is to cheat even when he doesn't have to..

12. Sadly, you can't arrest, indict or charge a sitting POTUS
Only impeachment, and I defy anyone to try and get an Article of Impeachment past Sensenbrenner :(

20. That's not written in stone...
the idea that you can't indict came from a Justice Department memo written back in the Nixon administration.

2. There isn't going to be any hearings
Until someone gives George W. Bu$h a fucking BLOW JOB in the white house.

The only thing the GOP is concerned about is SEX, or making sure that no one has any.
Any other criminal activity is just a day at the office for a republican

4. They don't care about sex either....
They just find something any thing and never let it go...

It could be sex, it could be a hint of fraud, it could be a rumor or clever inuendos...

The dems will continue to loose until they fight back...

Webb in Virginia and his retort back at George Felix Allen made my heart swell...

But other dems will not follow suit...

Maybe it's because Webb is a former member of the GOP...

6. Does democracy mean anything anymore?
Will fraud prevent any Democratic recovery in November, and continuing GOP control ensure that no future elections will be fair? Yes, we have to try to win in November, but the fraud is so pervasive and multifaceted, one wonders whether democratic elections are now a thing of the past.

8. If our elected Democratic officials are too timid to do anything about it
Give the Repukes their due, they would be screaming loud and long, without any letup, if the situation were reversed. The Democrats are too intimidated, demoralized, or weary to fight back? Where's the outrage? Is it BAD MANNERS for Democrats to expose Repuke wrongdoing?

13. There are no conspiracies!
This would be too complex to pull off... (Other anti-C.T. talking points designed
to discredit the O.P. and raise doubts.) etc. etc.

16. But there's absolutely NO hope of that if...
...those freakin' machines are rigged! Sorry, but I'm more pessimistic than the lot of you. There's no chance for anything if DLC runs everything and the machines are rigged anyways...

18. The case in NH continues...
Attorneys for the NH Democratic Party are in the process of taking depositions in a civil case regarding this. They hope to depose White House staff. DNC attorneys are now finally giving them some assistance.

This is NOT going away. There is a more to be learned about the WH connection and I'm sure it'll come out.
