10. (grin) Well, I have to admit to being a skeptic.

I read a lot on DU (far, far more than I post) ... and do a lot of research on things DUers post, either to fact-check or fill in the blanks. I expect others do the same and I make a substantial effort to be diligent in verifying anything that I post. It's because it's important to me - and my regard for myself. (Obviously, the anonymity of the Internet makes the opinions others might have of me, whom they don't know and vice versa, quite ephemeral and orders of magnitude less important - even if sincerely appreciated.)

For some topics, I usually don't bother to weigh in - and Coulter's gender history is one of those topics. While I try to keep track of the facts (and allegations), I don't really think any history of transgender surgery is really all that important, and definitely not a basis upon which to attack her. I think people should be free (and their rights respected) in achieving a gender identity which which they are most comfortable. It's certainly not a problem I'd ever wish to have, but I've had enough of my own problems with which folks lacked sympathy that I'm damned well not going to return that 'favor' - no matter how despicable I think Coulter's ethics and behavior have been.

Hold your palm up, toward the sky, fingers curled kind of tightly into the palm, thumb alongside.

Upper/lower arm at roughly a 30 degree at the elbow.

Step forward with your opposite foot ( if you are right-handed, lead with your left foot{or vice-versa}) and then drive with your lead foot.

Turn your hand from palm up to palm down, mid-stroke.

Go for the Adam's apple.

Envision pushing all the way thru the target.

Think about pulling it back as quickly as you delivered it. Makes for a much more telling delivery.

...whether Annthrax Coultergeist is a transexual, I would have to point out that if he (?) did become a she, it must have been very early in life. David Brock, in Blinded by the Right mentions having known Coulter at college, and that she (?) was very definitly a she by that time -- and had a quite scandalous private life during her university days, at that.

Whether she actually had a full sex change or not is a matter of debate, although her adam’s apple is still visible in photos, under the appropriate light. We who laughed, cried, worked and danced with her feel her story should be told. We are not out to punish her, but feel it’s time she owned up to what she really is.
