What's it going to take?
What. I don't know know. What's it going to take that will finally make the American public say, "That's enough?" Is it $4.00 a gallon gas? I doubt that because of the way $3.00 a gallon gas has left this same public complacent. I really doubt an substantial increase in gas prices will do this. What about having more dead arrive from Iraq? I doubt that too for the dead from war has become numb to us. What about jobs? Is that it? You're afraid to speak your mind for fear of losing your job? Well, all I can say on this is I've already walked out of two jobs because of corporate waste in spending and 'saving' on things which would make a difference (in healthcare) like gloves and washing stations in the assisted living building, and working without threats of firing on a regular basis from the skilled building. These are labor issues. Healthcare needs to organize. America needs to organize.

1. Hmmm. I think even $4 a gallon gas won't do "it."
But I guess it depends on what you mean by "it."

I personally think we're heading into another Great Depression. Only this one won't be acknowledged by our fantastic Corporate Media, which seems to be blind to everyone who doesn't make at LEAST a $1 million or more every year (at LEAST!).

So, here we are, jobless, or with jobs with no health insurance, which is almost as bad. And we're desperate just to be wage slaves to the jobs we can get. None of us has any security. If we had a heart attack tomorrow we'd be fucked, right? That's the problem, right? For most of us, anywway? What happens now? If I prayed, I'd pray for a president with a New Deal. IF I were a smart person I'd start thinking that maybe, just maybe, this wasn't the American way after all.

2. It's going to take a Democratic House
Which hopefully will be more effective than the Democratic Senate we had.

3. If gas gets much higher, I think that it would be cheaper
for me to sit at home, have babies, and collect govt checks.
