3. Congratulations...
... but I couldn't finish watching it. Too many twisting zooming sliding effects with the photos... it hurt to watch... gave me a vertigo feeling. From what I did watch, it seemed repetitive and pointless. Family photo after family photo after family photo, with silly sound effects and random Bushisms and verbal gaffes. I couldn't tell where it was going or what the point was (or if it was building to a punch-line or other reward). It seemed as though this slide-show was more about cramming in as many visual effects as possible, than it was about delivering some message.

Even with a DSL connection, it was too large and too long a load time. For me, it was NOT worth the wait.

5. Huh?
"Thanks for playing"?

Did I say something wrong? Am I to deduce that you don't welcome any sort of criticism, ever, at all, period?

6. Nothing Of the Sort.

I was thanking you for checking it out. I was sorry you did not enjoy it. We all have our own tastes.

Please, do not read insult where none was meant. None was intended.

7. Ahhh...
... so that's what "thanks for playing" meant, eh? :eyes: Well... if you say so. Other than the fact that such a phrase is generally reserved as a retort for unwanted criticism, or given as a game-show style brush-off for undesirable trolls... I really have no reason to disbelieve you. And, even though I'm not fully convinced that's what you meant, I'm willing to take you at your word.

<< Please, do not read insult where none was meant. None was intended. >>

Oh. I see.

8. What? Are You Looking For Me To Insult You?
Edited on Sun Jul-09-06 04:26 PM by DistressedAmerican
I have explained what I meant.

I find this post to be nothing more than trying to pick a fight over a non-issue.

I will repeat myself and leave it at that as I have no desire for whatever you seem to want from me.

I was thanking you for looking at it. I was sorry you did not like it. That is all. Anything else you choose to read into my remarks is of your doing.

Please have a nice day.

9. Oh Please...
<< What? Are You Looking For Me To Insult You? >>

...what an absurd thing to say. I don't understand where this is coming from.

<< I have explained what I meant. >>

And despite my doubts, I've accepted your explanation.

<< I find this post to be nothing more than trying to pick a fight over a non-issue. >>

 That's an imaginative way to interpret it.

<< I will repeat myself and leave it at that as I have no desire for whatever you seen to want from me.>>

Sorry... That makes no sense to me. I really don't have an idea what you're going on about.

<< I was thanking you for looking at it. I was sorry you did not like it. That is all. Anything else you choose to read into my remarks is of your doing. >>

I'll ALSO repeat myself by saying that despite the dismissive nature in which that phrase is normally used, I will accept your plausible denial that you didn't actually mean it in the way that it's commonly understood.

<< Please have a nice day. >>

:eyes:

11. Psst, the TheaterJerk.gif
Edited on Sun Jul-09-06 08:49 PM by greyl
shows up above the .swf when the browser window is too narrow.
You should put the gif and the swf in the same div, or better yet, reduce the swf dimensions so it solves that problem plus takes less time to load.
I've been waiting 15 minutes to watch the thing, so I can't say that I disagree with Arwalden.
At least think about adding a progress indicator, eh? ;)

edit: Still waiting for it to load. Can you tell me how big the swf is?
