July 29: "The 50-State Canvass". volunteer to fight back, July 29th......

OK DUers, this is it, This is Howard Dean standing up in the trench & yelling CHARGE, as he goes over the top in a hail of bullets. I don't know about you, but my C.O. just told me to charge. So you know what I'm going to do? You bet, Effing CHARGE, we're going to take back these streets, take back each town , take back each County, take back each State.

I'm going to try to get some of our NJ4DFA County members out on the 29th for Tom Wyka in NJ11.

Here is the NJ version of the email I got.

Here’s their request, let’s go for it:

Hello Volunteers!

I invite you to take part in the Democratic National Committee’s July 29th “100 Days, 100 Voters, 100 Actions”! This nationwide day of action is tied directly with The National Organizing Kickoff and the The 50-State Canvass; and used as a force to contact every Democratic voter we can reach. As the official kick-off to Election 2006, July 29th is an important start to our efforts in New Jersey to canvass in every county in the state! To sign-up to attend an event, please visit www.njdems.org and link over to the DNC website: http://www.democrats.org/a/party/a_50_state_strategy/the_democratic_reunion/
as soon as possible. Our goal is 1,000 volunteers canvassing on Saturday afternoon!

If you wish to host an event you must post it on the website. Without your information we will be unable to get you the materials needed to successfully hold your event. Each volunteer who signs up will receive a packet from the DNC which will include 50 door-knockers and 50 post cards. They will also include local candidate literature, and a targeted walking list and script. If you wish, you can log on to www.njdems.org to get the link to the DNC website and search their extensive resource center to view a copy of each piece of literature. All of our hosts will be required to submit their staging location, email address and contact telephone number. These are crucial pieces of information, as I will need to contact you for delivery of literature. If you know of anyone who would like to be involved please pass this email along to them; the more volunteers we have, the more houses we can canvass! I thank you for your time and your continued support of the Democratic Party. I look forward to speaking with all of you soon.

1. We have ours set up.
More later when the place for the event is verified. We have been trying to figure the best way to print off the postcards. Printer ink is so expensive...I just refilled all mine to the tune of over $80. Ridiculous.

Guess we will chip in to get them copied for us. Our DFA is working with the local Democrats to plan it.

I like this idea, where you can choose the event you like. I think people will come to this. It is in an area with many seniors, and they are not super happy right now.

2. try printing in dark grey, an 80% tone should save you 20% of your ink.
WE will have Morris & Essex County DFA turning out in NJ11 for Tom Wyka.

YEAH ! ! !
