Nader. Nadernadernadernader. Nadernader. Nader.
Are you opposed to people running as 'further left' against incumbent 'moderate' Democrats in their democratic primaries, like what's been happening to Joe Lieberman and Hillary Clinton, with their eventual goal to be on the ticket as the Democratic Party candidate for their state in November?

Nader.

1. If they are REAL progressives I say...
GO FOR IT! We've got to start weeding out the DINOs in our "Democratic" leadership.

2. Support that but
to hell with Nader. If he turns up as the "progressive candidate" on a national ballot, he will not get my vote.

4. Hey there, ulysses :) Remember when all you needed was "Nader" in the
headline and the thread would be guaranteed to keep flaming until locked with 300+ posts? I wonder if that's still true

7. No Problem With That.
Just don't do a NADER and split the Dems in the general election.

8. Of course not. But there's nothing wrong with competition in primaries.
Why would we be against more choices in a primary? Especially if they're good ones.

9. 70% of Americans are currently "Further Left" than Hillary and Joementum!
People haven't changed so much, STANDARDS and DEFINITIONS have!

And leave that TOOL Nader out of this; he's long since proven
that he has become nothing but an advertisement for himSELF.

An older, much wiser man than I am told me the other year:
"By today's standards, Richard Nixon governed as a moderate liberal".

Ask me his name.

G'head, ax me.

11. Well, since you just had to ask: His name is George McGovern...

...same as it was when he ran against Nixon.

Just about the most LIBERAL sonuvagun on the face of God's green earth...

A man who personally accepts the BLAME for helping the Repubs
to turn "liberal" into a 'bad word' in the USA's mental dictionary.

And even HE says that NIXON was a "Moderate Liberal"
by TODAY'S definition of "Conservative".

in the general election.

Indeed that is the only way in a winner take all system - a non-parliamentary system - to move the Dem party and the nation to the left without giving the right 50 years of control of the government.
