I put the black outline because red fades quickly. The black will extend the life of the poster in the hot summer sun.

32. Wallpaper paste (wheat paste) is the

poor man's glue. I see some posters attached with wheat paste still attached after two years. The ink is long faded. google Wheat Paste and you will find recipes.

The images are 576X735 pixels, a bit smaller than 8X10 to allow for the margins printers add. I also make 275X369 pixel images and put four to a sheet Again I use the 576X735 pixel size

Check your local laws and respect private property.

I use Photoshop for the images, but any image editor can be used. If I want good clear text (no jaggies) I use Inkscape. http://www.inkscape.org/ But any SVG editor could do what you need. Inkscape is free.


GIMP is a very powerful and free editor http://gimp.org/ I am using GIMPShop, a hack of GIMP. It changes the menus to reflect Photoshop's menus. http://www.plasticbugs.com/index.php?p=241 I find it more intuitive than the original GIMP.

You can use GIMP or some other editor and do the work in Inkscape, or just make the text there and add it to the 576X735 image. make sure your editor can read the formats used by Inkscape. GIMP will read EPS files.

10 light poles in all. Between the RBC arena and a huge shopping mall. We put them up with a step stool so you couldn't reach them if you didn't have something tall to stand on. They were up about 2 weeks!
