An argument I heard why it is ok for Lieberman to run as an independent |
|
A caller on the Ed Schultz show said he was a stuanch Democrat and that there was no difference if Lieberman ran as an independent, and what Ned Lamont is doing
WHAT!!!!!!
Are we saying NO ONE SHOULD CHALLENGE AN INCUMBENT IN THE DEMOCRATIC PRIMARIES?
It is NOT the same thing. One is going through the party, and letting the DEMOCRATS choose, and another one if they do not like the choice of the Democrats will run as an independent
The Democrats better get their stuff together and SUPPORT THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE

3. I asumed as much- that's typical Ed behavior. |
|
(at least it was during the 2 weeks I listened to him)
Liberals get cut off, talked over, and sneered at, but Ed mysteriously lets RW Talking points go out on HIS airwaves without comment.
I realized he is NOT on our side, and turned him off permanently.

... I'm vastly amused by the pretenses and postures of purported partisan 'principles' and by partisanship itself. People use the terms 'DINO' and 'RINO' as though there's anything else. When it's so aptly proven that (D) and (R) are essentially meaningless and can be jettisoned even by a former VP candidate, I wonder why so many chase farts and try to paint them their own preferable shades of red or blue. All the Catch-22 'arguments' about caucuses and chairmanships - and all I care about is the principles and issues. Why is it possible to be a liberal democrat and be more pleased by Jeffords' votes than Ben Nelson's votes? than by Lieberman's votes? When that's the case, how can one even try to make a case for a political party that requires no subscription to distinguishing principles and values? It seems to me that there's even less "brand name integrity" in politics than in snake oil.
