Did anyone see CSpan's Run up to G-8 with Dem Strobe Talbott?

Dem Strobe Talbott seemed to me to be Ramping Up another "Cold War" with Putin in Russia.

On NPR today someone was talking about how Cheney is the "Attack Dog" against Putin so Chimp can go to "G-8" and be nicey nice to Putin. But, seeing Dem Strobe Talbott (Clinton Admin Advisor) trying to push another "Red/Commie Scare" kind of turned me off.

Maybe he was better for the whole C-Span/Brookings Fest...I only caught some of his blathering. I'd like to think what I heard was just a "snip, taken out of context." :shrug:

If you heard differently...go at me about how what I heard was not correct!

1. I always thought he was the worst Clinton appointment.

His knowledge about Russia and USSR is on par with Condi Rice's - and that is not saying much.

his inexperience, concrete thinking and lack of knowledge about the realities of their new nation set back relations rather badly. Of course, Condi is making things much, much much worse.
