Keith's always had a mix of serious and silly news on his show. I don't expect that anyone will be messing with success. It would be stupid to do that. (Not that they're not doing other stupid things.)

He was supposed to have the night off, but John Dean was launching his book tour and wanted Countdown to be the first interview. So Keith came in and did the interview, and then had a dinner reservation to keep. That's the WHOLE SORDID STORY!
