McCain Says North Korea Has Been a Problem Since Clinton Administration
http://www.abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=2173172&page=1

<snip>Bush's former rival in the 2000 Republican primaries, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., said that North Korea had been a problem long before Bush took office in 2001.

"I see the North Korean situation going back a long, long way," McCain said on "Good Morning America."

"Back in 1994, we made an agreement, which was not enforceable and violated repeatedly by the North Koreans as short a time ago as last September. They said they would not pursue this issue of nuclear weapons. So I think this particular crisis has been with us for a long time."

5. McCain, you're either stupid or vile.
I'll pick the latter. Of course North Korea has been a problem - DUH. The difference then? We talked to North Korea. Albright visited, Richardson visited and we had open dialogue, allowing us to keep an eye on what they were doing and monitor their activities. Since Bush took office that communication has been cut and we haven't a clue what they've been doing.

6. Maybe, but Clinton wasn't the one who arbitrarily broke of negotiations
with North Korea. That was Bush. If you ignore a problem, it usually gets worse, not better. YOu'd think McCain would have learned that at some point in his life.

8. When the GOP Lies about this Shit They Make it Worse
Edited on Mon Jul-10-06 08:39 PM by stepnw1f
how are we as a country going to find real solutions to the REAL problems when the GOP gets to go out in public and misrepresent that same problem? Don't republicans realize that they have become the number one problem for this country. When they do this shit, they essentially give cover to serious issues that impact people's lives.

to GOP:

This is not a political game. Fucking people are dying and more to come because of you LOSERS. Your intentional twisting of words for political smear of your stronger opponent just reeks of desperation.

Edited on Mon Jul-10-06 08:43 PM by caligirl
rods and drove them to a reprocessing plant. This occurred after Bushass's cowboy mentality Foreign ape shit policy backfired.

Lets give credit where it is due. They launched specifically so the NKorean leader could look tough and talk tough in the face of asshats misshandling of talks due to his blistering lack of any statemanship.

Take that McCain, AKA the OTHER guy who likes to play kissy kissy with the Decider.

15. Oh, bullshit
At least Clinton had North Korea at the table, talking. Then Bush came along and shut down the discussion.

But why am I not surprised? IT'S ALL BILL'S FAULT. Everything. Dating back to Original Sin.
