2. Whatever the voters are FOR............
Dimson and his thugs are AGAINST. If the majority came out against stem cell research, these bastards would be all FOR it. I've never seen such a bunch of jacked-up nutjob asswipes in all my life.

5. I wonder if Chimpy will be willing to donate a kidney...
to my daughter who has Type 1 diabetes about 20 years from now? I mean, he believes in the "culture of life," right? And he is the one that has set back a cure for another 8 years.

F**k him!

12. Thank you.
Yes, I know the feeling. Although I'm not a "believer" myself, Chimpy's lack of heart and basic decency proves that he doesn't know the word of Jesus from squat.

I hope for the best for your husband and you.

6. This is another reason why. . .if it takes every single one of us
out on the streets, in the malls, going door-to-door this fall. . .this Administration and the Republican Party must be kicked out. This nation cannot endure another two years of rule by televangelist decree.

13. I agree!
This isn't just another wedge issue, this is a life and death issue. Millions of Americans are now or will have a stake in the outcome. My heart goes out to all who are suffering because of those narrow-minded, hateful people that can only see 'more abortions', which is ridiculous, as a reason to be against it. This goes beyond the left-right divide we have in this country. We are all Americans first, and some of us, as you have seen in this thread, need a promise and the full-faith effort of Congress and the WH to do whatever is necessary...NOW!

My God, they bust the budget for 'war', but will veto this life saving research? Getting the conservatives out of power is the only way for this country to begin to live again.

7. Since so many people in this country are for
stem cell research...maybe asswipe's veto will wake a few of them up? I hope it can be overridden as I have a daughter with juvenile diabetes.

14. bush won't do a front-door veto
he'll do it through a back-door signing-statement veto

this way he can say he signed the legislation but didn't support it

16. This piece of dos shit does not give a rat's ass about what discoveries
this could lead to. I guess that just means that the United States will have to stay on the sidelines while the rest of the world does the research.

17. He has threatened veto before. He will use a signing statement instead.
But I actually think that congress made override the veto if he does use it. Stem cell has bipartisan support for the most part. What a thing to use your first veto on.
