Was Golden Globes live at every time zone? - otherwise, spoiler
Edited on Tue Jan-17-06 12:26 AM by question everything
As Brokeback Mountain was gaining awards - have not seen it yet - I could already hear the wailing from the RWers about the perversity of Hollywood.

1. Gay movie won. Male Actor playing a gay man won. Female Actor
playing a transexual won. Director of said gay movie won.

The wingnuts are going to go bonkers. I love it.

6. More reasons for them to hate hollywood
except for John Wayne, Ronald Ray-gun, Charleton Heston, Ahnold, Woolford Brimley, Tom Selleck, and a host of other hammy, mediocre actors who can only play charactures of themselves.

7. Here is the complete list
http://www.hfpa.org/nominations/index.html

I was watching "24" but was flipping back and forth during commercials and, of course, caught the last hour uninterrupted - at least in Central time zone.

Was glad that Phillip Seymour Hoffman won for Capote.. was surprised to hear his deep voice

Was glad also that Clooney won for acting in Syriana and Rachel Weisz for the Constant Gardener - at least I saw these movies

15. And half of DU land
that award did not go unnoticed. (I say as I lick my wounds from a bout in the I/P forum). Very gutsy choice to present in Hollywood, too. It shows you the major difference in views towards I/P between the U.S. and the rest of the world, seeing as the award was given by the Foreign Press. Let's see if the Academy makes the same move. I doubt it.
