Is there PROOF Mexico's election was rigged? on Houston local news
Edited on Mon Jul-10-06 10:05 PM by Lisa0825
The CBS affiliate has been heavily advertising this story all day. They keep referring to "video proof the candidate claims to have." I'll summarize it soon. Wanted to give a heads up for anyone in the viewing area. It's a BIG story here because we have a HUGE immigrant population. I hope they give a fair report. I am sure they are getting pressure from both sides.

11. I have been following your posts...
since I got back from Mexico on July 3rd. I knew this would happen, but somehow I still hoped Lopez Obrador's win would be strong enough to withstand the fraud. I hope he'll stand stong enough to expose it all. I really think Mexico needs him so much.

3. summary of the report...
Lopez Obrador's camp has released a copy of a tape allegedly showing an election worker stuffing a ballot box. Campaign manager Jesus Ortega says it is a flagrant violation of the law.

Lopez Obrador is using the video and other material to challenge in court.

The Lopez Obrador camp is critical of the US and other countries who recognize Calderon as the winner. They will send a team to the US embassy in Mexico City to remind the American government that in Mexico there is still no clear winner.

Lopez Obrador asked supporters to step up and mobilize for more marches next week.

Official observers from Europe said they did not see any serious irregularities at any polling places.

The man who claims he's been robbed of victory vows to prove he's Mexico's real president.

7. The wealthy elite in Mexico have been trying to screw Obrador for years.
They will pretend to own the high ground until they are pummeled by the truth.

The corruption is so deeply ingrained historically that even a close loss for a populist must have been a MAJOR victory, when you tally up all the discarded registrations, dumped ballots, "nibbling of ants" (one vote here, one vote there mis-classified), etc. The ONLY way to break the tradition of corruption in Mexico is for somebody brave enough and strong enough (in support) to stand up and declare that there wil BE NO CONCESSION. All the corruption must be accounted for and exposed publicly for the world to see.

9. Here's some direct evidence from Cannonfire

This Mexican election proves that computer fraud is real and entirely possible here.
