<snip>

Longtime WJLA news anchor Kathleen Matthews will leave Channel 7 in November for a corporate job with Marriott International, the station announced yesterday.

Matthews will join the Bethesda-based hotel company to become executive vice president of global communications and public affairs. The financial terms of the job were not disclosed.

Color me shocked. Marriot - the company that gave millions to the coronation "gala" of Bush in '06 - has hired Mrs.T.

At least hubby won't have to pretend anymore.

And he'll get his rooms comped.

Such a deal.

1. Saw her totally dissed by Tweety and plagiarist BARNICLE
She was trying to do a straightforward segment, while the two boys were giggling and being what they are--smartasses in Catholic school.
