7. I was wondering the same thing,

why just one story "albeit a very important story" Then he's gone until the last little fluff story.

I've always been a hugh fan of KO, but last night was a big disappointment. I've always wished he would drop the Tom cat stories, and do more relevant political in depth investigative stories but i can always turn it off after the first 30 minutes.

I heard they were shaking it up at MSNBC, but surely they wouldn't mess with KO. He's the only one they have that has an audience, and i submit he would have a larger audience if he would do hard hitting political reporting, and drop the fluff stuff. Just my humble opinion of course!

But the fluff stuff is all over cable news shows, i think Keith would have even a larger audience if he did more investigative reporting on subjects that's closer to DU'ers hearts.

I heard it said allot on this board, so i'm not alone in my opinion. That said the worst person in the world segment is pretty good, and i would miss that segment if he dropped it.

I like Keith Olberman too, but I don't like his show. People act like he's the liberal savior of the media or something. He'll occasionally have good stories, but it's more than outweighed by the sports, fluff & sheer stupidity of many of the stories. Has "Oddball" ever made you laugh? Once? And he's often gone on vacation for weeks at a stretch. Olbermann's got such an opportunity to reach people & influence the MSM, and I feel like it's wasted a lot of the time. He's still better than almost any other cable newscaster, though.
