Gannon coming out?
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/gossip/story/434046p-365699c.html

"Frankly, so much of that stuff was overblown and absolutely false," he said on the phone from Washington. "All of these were talked about on the Internet, and I don't think the Internet quite has the credibility to be taken just at face value." But you're a blogger. "I'm not saying that all of the Internet should be dismissed completely."

Are you dating now, commercially or otherwise?

"Even though I am a public person now, I'm invoking the Anderson Cooper rule about my personal life," he replied.

<snip>

Gannon is slated to address the Log Cabin Republicans Thursday at the 3 West Club.

1. It's also known as the "Sean Hayes rule"
Same old crap I read in the Advocate a while back. Gannon refused then to talk about his sexual orientation.

2. I seem to recall that he came out quite a while ago.
I'm almost certain of it. It was discussed here but I don't have a link handy.

4. eeeeeeee!
The funniest part is that the LCR is probably paying him to speak.

This is like playing limbo: how low can you go? They're just full of suprises.

p.s. I think the intent was to give himself the credibility of Cooper by association . . . pathetic lame-ass republican LCR wannabe, vs. Cooper; fruitcake, meet apple.

12. Is that true?
All this time, I had assumed Anderson Cooper was gay, and pretty much everyone knew about it. But then he hit it big-time, and all the women were swooning over him, and making comments insinuating he was straight. I think he was on Oprah or something and kinda left it ambiguous. I wondered about this again last night, when Kathy Griffin was on Larry King, and joking around about how King should hook the two of them up now that she is divorced. I figured one of them would point out that he is gay, but neither did. Of course, she was being comical the entire hour, but still. I figured one of them would point it out, if it were as obvious as I had thought it was.

So, once and for all, is Anderon Cooper gay? Is his sexuality just speculated about, or has he admitted to being gay?

22. They know in the industry. Women swoon over all sorts of men
especially gay men. Why would a women swooning over Anderson make you think any different? Anderson is Gay. He doesn't hide but doesn't flaunt. People in the industry know but because he's not in the closet there's no reason to fuck with him.

32. But what does "not in the closet" mean? I read only the VF excerpt,
but supposedly AC's "autobiography" omits this aspect of his being.

34. OK does a straight person have to put the fact that they are straight
in a book for people to think they aren't gay?

just cuz he doesn't mention it doesn't make it any less so.

Does the statement ..."He doesn't flaunt it." mean anything.
If he put it in a book then he would be flaunting it.

though he doesn't talk about it very often.

Griffin had said earlier in the show that she wanted to marry a rich gay man. Anderson fits the bill with his Vanderbilt money. I'm sure that was the joke, though they skated around it.

7. "Frankly, so much of that stuff was overblown and absolutely false,"
Uh...which stuff? The naked photos of you, Jeff? The verbatim quotes from your advertisements? Or the description of you as a "journalist"?

The military theme continues at USMCPT.com. The “Ammunition” section contains the description of the escort. It reads: White, 200 pounds, hair “high and tight,” chest “46’ Usually Shaved or Clipped,” and under “Weapon” it says "8 inches cut." The escort mentions that he takes clients in the Washington, DC, Virginia and Maryland area, and that he prefers to “travel to your location or travel with you.”

The USMCPT home page never specifically mentions sex, though it’s clear this is not your run-of-the-mill personal trainer or bodyguard. Under a section entitled “Mission,” it says:
Ex-USMC Jock: Available for hourly, overnight, weekend or longer travel - OUT ONLY!

Personal Trainer: Safe-Sane-Strenuous-Satisfying workouts, Sports training, and competition, especially wrestling....

Big SPORTS Fan: Will go to the game with you, then take you home and....

I DON'T LEAVE MARKS....ONLY IMPRESSIONS

13. He lied about being a Marine
he gave himself a fake military background.
He gave himself a fake journalism background.
And yet...Faux News' Sean Hannity had him on his show as a "distinguished journalist" and Dubya had him up front with press credentials others with years of experience couldn't get.
One of the Bushies setup a blog days before Gannon appeared as a "journalist" at the White House.
He was a plant - who didn't ask questions but recited from a rightwing script.
And his comings and goings at The White House have yet to be explained.

Gannon chose Cooper to interview him after he was fired from his job at Talon News during the brouhaha over the hot military stud dot com website. Of all the journalists out there, why did he choose Cooper? Hmm.

By John Byrne| RAW STORY Editor

Posted April 27, 2005

In what is unlikely to stem the controversy surrounding disgraced White House correspondent James Guckert, the Secret Service has furnished logs of the writer’s access to the White House after requests by two Democratic congressmembers.

On at least fourteen occasions, Secret Service records show either the entry or exit time missing. Generally, the existing entry or exit times correlate with press conferences; on most of these days, the records show that Guckert checked in but was never processed out.

In March, 2003, Guckert left the White House twice on days he had never checked in with the Secret Service. Over the next 22 months, Guckert failed to check out with the Service on fourteen days. On several of these visits, Guckert either entered or exited by a different entry/exit point than his usual one.
