Right winger tortured Jewish wife with ""swastika-adorned articles"
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060711/ap_on_re_us/building_collapse

NEW YORK - Investigators confirmed Tuesday that a gas line had been tampered with before a landmark town house was leveled by an explosion, narrowing their focus on the building's owner, who is suspected of setting off the blast in a botched suicide attempt during a bitter divorce.

"We're saying this is intentional," said Louis Garcia, the city's chief fire marshal, adding that the modifications could have been made by "anybody who is handy."

<snip>

Authorities have been investigating whether Dr. Nicholas Bartha, the lone occupant during the blast, might have caused the explosion rather than sell the house as part of a divorce judgment favoring his ex-wife. Bartha, a physician who lived and worked in the four-story building, remained in critical condition Tuesday after being rescued from the rubble a day earlier.

<snip>

According to a 2005 appellate court opinion, the doctor had "intentionally traumatized" his Jewish wife, who was born in Nazi-occupied Holland, by posting "swastika-adorned articles and notes" around their home. The opinion also said Bartha had "ignored her need for support and assistance while she was undergoing surgery and treatment for breast cancer."

3. If you read the full text of his suicide email (the one he sent to Faux,
Hannity, and the Governator, among others) you'll find that he hit on just about every RW/freepazoid talking point. It's almost like wading right in to FR or other far-right message boards and reading their message base. His writing style is very familiar to anyone who has wandered into those sites and read anything. He was a real gem!

9. Mostly incoherent
Beyond the English-as-a-second-language issues, the guy's logic circuits seem to have been really scrambled. He should have opted for self-trephination instead of suicide by demolition.

5. Where is the connection to the right wing?
With so much material out there why make it up? Your referenced article lacks affirmation of political affiliation. This sounds like a bitter old man eaten up with hatred.

"politicians and others who are against the war in Iraq (the same people who (were) against the Vietnam war)... I hope they will succeed so that the terrorists will move to the states.

I hope most of the country realizes whom Ms. H. Rodham Clinton is and will make sure she will never be a president unless they want to suffer the consequences. I wish President Bush had been at Yalta. ...Cindy Sheehan is desecrating her son's memory... "

Heck, read the entire diatribe if you can stomach it...

8. He is an anti-American right-winger. Here is part of the email to Fox:
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,202916,00.html

"Further deconstructing the Constitution by the Constitutional Judges for their political aims, like it is a piece of art in a Soho Art gallery, is further eroding the liberties of Americans the right to own properties undisturbed based on the Constitution I am not surprised which judges made the decisions and why.The liberal side of the Supreme Court to squeeze out more taxes to give it to the " needy" in other words support income redistribution.

The anti American politicians and others who are against the war in Iraq (the same people who was against the Vietnam war) like T.Kenedy, Soros, M.Moore, the New York Times Arthur Sulzberger JR, H.Clinton (who's only hope to be elected was N.Y.S. as was used by a Kennedy years back) and many others, I hope they will succeed so that the the terrorists will move to the states. So people here will have a taste of suffering as when the East Europeans were given to the Russians by a very sick President Roosevelt at Yalta in 1945. President, who sent back a boat with Jewish refuges to Europe to be exterminated, enacted the anti lynching lows he could not legislate because of the resistance of the southern Democrats, when he realized he needs blacks to fight in Europe and die he had no choice. I hope most of the country realizes whom Ms. H.Rodham Clinton is and will make sure she will never be a president unless they want to suffer the consequences. I wish President Bush had been at Yalta."

Rick Lazio
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Enrico Anthony "Rick" Lazio (born March 13, 1958) is a former U.S. Representative from the state of New York. A Republican, he is most known for having run unsuccessfully against Hillary Rodham Clinton for the U.S. Senate in New York's 2000 Senate election.

Lazio was born in Amityville, New York in Suffolk County. He graduated from West Islip High School in 1976. He received his A.B. from Vassar College in 1980 and received his J.D. from the Washington College of Law at American University. Prior to being elected to Congress, he was the executive assistant district attorney for Suffolk County and served in the Suffolk County Legislature.

He represented the New York 2nd Congressional District as a Republican and was first elected in 1992, defeating the incumbent, Tom Downey, who had served for eighteen years but was one of the most prominent figures in the 1992 Rubbergate scandal.

Lazio served four terms from 1993 to 2001, becoming Deputy Majority Whip and Assistant Majority Leader. In 2000, he ran for the Senate but was defeated by Hillary Clinton in the race to succeed Daniel Patrick Moynihan.

His comparatively late entry into the race (five months before Election Day) followed New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani's decision not to run for the Senate.

After the defeat, he became the President and CEO of Financial Services Forum.

As of December 2005, Lazio was an executive vice-president at JPMorgan Chase & Co. After considering a run for New York State Attorney General in 2006, he stated that for both family and political reasons, he would not be running for any office in that year.

15. Fox's typical demo
I don't think this guy read or heard much else. Sounds a little manic depressive too. KO's interview with John Dean is posted at C&L and Dean describes this guy to a "T".
