Do you think the United States should have broken (and continue to break) it's treaty obligations with respect to following the Geneva Conventions?

Do you the the United States has a right** to abduct/detain, abuse and torture anyone it pleases? (By Extension: Should that include the right to be free from prosecution/consequences if in the process they should incidentally cause their deaths or, for that matter, execute them?)

**would that be "a perfect right" or a "God-given right" or some such.
