The same ones who scream applaud Coulter for screeching about Clinton "raping Juanita Broddick," believe Swiftboaters about John Kerry's "war crimes," and want to kill all Gitmo prisoners for being "terr'rists."

When were all of the above charged, exactly, and when was THEIR trial?

1. That is very true

They also tend to have that same attitude whenever a police officer is accused of police brutality or a corporate CEO is accused of wrongdoing (well, unless the CEO is a big time Democratic contributor).

It's important that we all remember that the mantra of "innocent till proven guilty" is only a legal distinction. No one is obligated to believe that someone is innocent until proven guilty. We, as private individuals, can believe whatever we want.

I believe that at least most of the soldiers are guilty, but the legal process must proceed as if they are innocent until proven guilty.

3. Freepers do defend criminals more so than the statists do

which is not a bad thing and I applaud them for standing up for due process. I have seen posts which have condemned police misconduct there at times.

They have this libertarian/anarchist streak to them that probably goes back to their disdain for Democratic government. They are pro-war but aside from that, you do tend to see a lot of posts that are similar to posts here regarding criminal matters. On both sites you see a debate over due process versus stringing them up and hanging them high.

2. You have to forgive them.

The folks perpetrating this silliness are weak minded and easily led. If the powers that be point at Bill Clinton and scream "rapist" then they just lather rinse and repeat. If the powers that be scream "innocent" then they lather rinse repeat. They aren't actually hypocrites, they are brain damaged.
