I do not think if she were just raped that anyone would know about her. I think people are focusing on her right now due to the coverup/manipulation. However, I think people are not just focusing on her rape, but the whole kit and kaboodle, mass torture/murder/mutilation of 2 children and 2 adults along with raping 1 of the children.

So, I disagree with the assumption in your question that people are focusing on your rape rather than the whole thing. But I get what you are getting at.

From what I've read, the rape was premediated for days, if not weeks. It went from basic lust to basic barbarism. And once they crossed that line, there was nothing they were unable to do, including murder.
