1. thanks for the vote... how about a kick or two so others may enjoy?
let's share the new music with others. what do you folks say? Is it only about us as an individual? If it is we're no better than His Royal Chimpness The Decider-in-Thief.

8. Well, be sure and let me know. I'm trying to keep track of what
people are talking about for the DU Jukebox: http://journals.democraticunderground.com/Hissyspit/47

It's going to be a regular feature, either monthly or bi-monthly. I have a folder full of songs that I will be using, and I would like to find old stuff, but the new anti-war, anti-Bush, anti-fascism, liberal, progressive, etc. stuff that it coming out especially.

11. I enjoy it... it brings back memories of radio before RayGun ruined it...
and ClearChannel turned it into a neocon nightmare. I worked for WHKW, WTUG, WACT, WFFX, WCSI and the smallest TV station in the pan-handle Sun-Cable 6 in PCB. "Live from the Fontainebleau Terrace, THE AM SHOW!" LOL, what a hoot! Our cameraman stayed wasted and our hostess was funny as hell but she was trying to be serious! Watching someone make an idiot out of themselves each morning live on local TV makes viewers feel better about themselves as they laugh while sipping coffee.

13. i quit working radio after ClearChannel showed me the fine new facilities.
20 fuc#ing stations without DJs, run by a few engineers in Mobile. They were offering me a fortune in potential sales. I'd have it all. No competition in my market. I said "thanks but no thanks... I guess I'll stick with Sunny 105.7" but that tiny 5,000 watt FM was my last media position. It fell a couple of years later. We had a PD there named Dutch, who graduated at Columbia School of Broadcasting and drove big trucks as a roadie for every major rock group that toured the USA. One day we were sitting around the station shooting the crap and Rod Stewart's people called him. In the old days they used to allow truck-drivers to get dozens of DLs from different states but at that time, it had finally consolidated and he told them, "I'm not even allowed to drive a bicycle in at least four states you have on this schedule!" Those rockers wanted their equipment on site fast, with plenty of set-up time.

Dutch had quite a few tales to tell, especially about Guns and Roses.
