Social Programs are your Friends
Sure, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, etc. may be 'just' programs, but I have more love for them than your average war-mongering reactionary Neo-Con.

These Social Programs turned the Democratic Party into something other than just another Political Party, it established trust with the People, and helped give the Democratic Party dominance in the Congress.

And now, Republicans are trying to throw these Social Programs into the shredder with their "Cut taxes during war" strategy. Bush even said a couple days ago that it is time to cut so-called "entitlement" programs.

Imagine life without Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. How would the Elderly and the Disabled live?

Nobody should stand by and watch their friends get hacked to pieces. It's time to defend the programs which saved lives, helped the poor, and gave the Democratic Party dominance in the Congress.

1. These programs
are a natural outcome of a wise and caring nation... Especially a nation, as ours, which is the wealthiest nation on earth...TO think otherwise, is pitiful, greedy, unwise, and plain stupid!...

Those who think we should not help anyone (the Rethugs)... I say to them I hope you burn in hell!

2. How soon we forget...
there was a reason these programs were instituted. Too many American people, especially children and the elderly were dying as a result of poverty, starvation and lack of medical care. But good christian Bushy-boy simply doesn't give a rat's ass about those people. Let them eat cake!

3. Orphanages, workhouses and poor farms used to be the social net.
And people my father's age were terrified of ending up in one of them, too. :(
