Bush's style of diplomacy: Texas plain talk ? We're DOOMED!
George. Are you trying to piss everyone off? You should be impeached for your penchant of nick names alone, on top of everything else...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President George W. Bush, who irked key allies with his war in Iraq, is pushing diplomacy more in his second term and will use his penchant for Texas plain talk and slapping backs on visits this week to Germany and Russia.

It is a personal trait that will be put to the test again at the Group of Eight summit in St. Petersburg, Russia, as seeks to maintain a united front against the nuclear ambitions of North Korea and Iran.

Behind the scenes, Bush is a straight talker who lays out his position with little ambiguity, occasionally ruffling feathers.

1. He's already said he regrets the idiotic "Dead or alive" comment.
So he's decided to keep up the same ridiculous front? That's Crazy-stupid! :dunce:  :dunce:  :dunce:  :dunce: But par for the course (W loves those golfing metaphors.)

6. We should prepare to be horribly embarrassed by
some pronounced breeth of etiquette or protocol. And he loves poking fun at others to embarrass them and make himself feel like he has a big penis.

7. I love how he has to call other leaders by their first names.
But insists that others address him as "Mr. President". And like some bad Clockwork Orange experiment, I now get physically ill whenever I hear the little snot talk...

2. What's interesting is
we've been, to a certain extent, defanged. I mean what can we do? We don't have the troops to handle either Iran or North Korea, nor do we have the will. So Bush is stuck with what all conservatives hate - diplomacy.

4. he's an inbred Connecticut wasp frat boy -
his 'Texas' plain talk is as a fake as the WMDs were.

And by the by we all saw in that meeting before Katrina hit how much of a straight talker * he is behind the scenes. I'll bet money the only time he ruffles feathers is when he feels someone isn't kissing his ass enough or dares to point out that he's full of shit.

moves ahead. Right. I want some of what he's smoking, it must be el primo.

12. He can see several moves ahead?!
Just how does Tony square that with "No one could have anticipated... the breach of the levees... terrorists could use a plane as a weapon... (fill in the blank)"

I swear, they just stand up there and mouth words devoid of meaning and contrary to all evidence. And reporters rarely call them on it!

15. Yeah, that quote had me spewing when I read it in the article, too,
kind of towards the middle after the "spewing sand" heading:

Although he is often portrayed as a bit of a bull in a china shop, White House spokesman Tony Snow credited Bush with "a chess player's ability to think several moves ahead" in his dealings with foreign leaders.

Gonna need a helicopter to fly above this bullshit.

13. Texas plain talk?
Bush is the biggest liar from west Texas since Pecos Bill. And Pecos Bill was a lot more fun.
